MWH seeks transmission engineer for dams, hydropower group

International engineer MWH invites applications for a senior transmission line engineer to support the firm’s Dams and Hydropower Group.

U.S.-based MWH Global is a strategic consulting, technical engineering, and construction services firm with 7,500 employees. The firm recently recruited a senior geotechnical engineer to work on dams, reservoirs, hydroelectric projects, tunnels, and underground structures for water resources projects. Earlier in the year, it recruited a field engineer – electrical/mechanical for the 105-MW Meldahl project on the Ohio River in Kentucky.

MWH now seeks a senior transmission line electrical engineer to support its Dams and Hydropower Group. Specific responsibilities include power system studies and analysis for interconnection of hydroelectric plants to the grid as well as transmission and distribution design, equipment procurement, and management. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with five years’ related experience.
