Nepal seeks bids to build 600-MW Budhi Gandaki

Nepal’s Department of Electricity Development (DOED) seeks bids for construction of the 600-MW Budhi Gandaki hydroelectric project on a build-own-operate-transfer basis. Bids are due March 24.

Nepal announced bidding previously for Budhi Gandaki (or Burhi Gandaki), 300-MW Upper Karnali, and 402-MW Arun 3. (HNN 3/4/08)

Budhi Gandaki bid documents may be obtained from the address below for US$350 by demand draft to the Department of Electricity Development or a bank voucher for 20,000 rupees deposited in Government of Nepal Revenue Account No. 1-1-5-99 at Nepal Rastra Bank, Thapathali, Kathmandu. Applicants are advised to collect the bid documents by designated representatives or courier.

A pre-bid conference is scheduled for 2 p.m. March 10 at the DOED Meeting Hall.
