New bid date for hydro-meteorology system for India reservoirs

Hydro operator Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has extended the deadline for bids to supply a hydro-meteorology system for its real-time decision support system for management of BBMB’s reservoirs in India. Bids now are due January 28.

BBMB previously called for bids by December 31. In 2006, it took bids on behalf of the government of India for development of the decision support system for operational management of BBMB’s reservoirs. BBMB’s hydroelectric projects include 540-MW Bhakra Left, 785-MW Bhakra Right, 990-MW Dehar, 77.65-MW Ganguwal, 77.65-MW Kotla, and 396-MW Pong.

BBMB now seeks bids for supply, installation, and commissioning of a hydro-meteorological real-time data acquisition system and integration of the system with BBMB’s real-time decision support system in the Sutlej and Beas basins. The contract period is 12 months.

Bidding documents in English may be obtained until 4 p.m. January 27 from the address below for 5,000 rupees (US$110) by demand draft, cashier’s check, or certified check to AO/HP-II at Chandigarh.
