New voltage regulation, excitation sought for two French hydro projects

Electricite de France (EDF) seeks bids for supply of replacement voltage regulation and excitation systems for its Vouglans and Saint Esteve hydroelectric projects in France. Bids are due October 23, 2009.

The solicitation is among several by EDF seeking equipment and services to refurbish its hydro projects. (HydroWorld 2/5/09) EDF took bids in 2008 for replacement governors for 12 hydro plants including Vouglans. (HydroWorld 9/11/08)

The current solicitation seeks bids for replacement of voltage regulation and excitation systems for three turbine-generators at Vouglans and four at Saint Esteve. Companies may bid to equip one or both plants.

Bid documents may be obtained from the address below. Bids, in French, are due by noon October 23.
