Niger Basin authority seeks water, ecosystem management

The Niger Basin authority invites expressions of interest from consultants to develop an implementation handbook for water resources development and sustainable ecosystem management. Responses are due March 15.

L’Autorite du Bassin du Niger (ABN) seeks a consulting firm of specialists in dam and agricultural development, organization and institutional auditing, financial management, and World-Bank-financed project management.

Work is to include identification of key parties and their roles in implementing the program; clarification of the relationships among stakeholders; determining the human, financial, and material means of implementing the program; and identifying problems and solutions for implementation. The work is to require 40 days.

Expressions of interest and qualifications, labeled PDREPE/ABN/PPF/01, are due to the address below by 5 p.m. March 15.
