Norway firm seeks equipment for 1.8-MW Bordalsbekken hydro

Developer Haugaland Kraft AS seeks bids to supply electro-mechanical equipment for the 1.8-MW Bordalsbekken hydroelectric project on Norway’s Bordal Creek. Bids are due March 26.

The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) gave Haugaland Kraft permission in February to build Bordalsbekken in the Sandvik River catchment in Tysvaer municipality. The project is to generate 5.3 gigawatts annually.

Haugaland Kraft seeks electro-mechanical equipment including generator, turbine, transformer, monitoring system, and switching station. The work is valued between 3 million and 6 million kroner (US$512,000 and US$1 million).
