Ocean Renewable Energy Conference includes focus on Marine Hydrokinetics

Three sessions taking place on Sept. 19 will highlight marine hydrokinetic energy, at the Ocean Renewable Energy Conference.

These sessions will provide a technology update, a deep dive into hydrogen markets, and insight into the role of test facilities.

Speakers will represent technology developers, the U.S. Department of Energy, test centers and more.

OREC also includes a focus on offshore wind.

Additional sessions at the conference will cover the future of energy in the west, the effects of West Coast energy policies on energy markets for marine renewables, an update on federal budgets for marine hydrokinetics, permitting of marine renewable energy projects, the status of technologies that can affect marine renewables, reporting from the International Network on Offshore Renewable Energy, powering the blue economy, and opportunities to advance both sectors.

OREC will take place September 18 and 19 in Portland, Ore., U.S. It is organized by the Pacific Ocean Energy Trust, a 501(c)3 organization committed to the responsible development of marine renewable energy in the Pacific Region.
