Ojibway Power plans hydro project, publishes environmental report for review

Canada’s Ojibway Power and Energy Group is proposing to construct a hydro project on the Namakan River near Lac La Croix, Ontario, the company reported.

The 6.4-MW project, located at High Falls, would be operated as a run-of-river station and would have an approximate 31.5 GWh of annual generation, OPEG reported.

The High Falls project’s environmental report is available for review and comment through Feb. 26, 2010.

OPEG must receive all comments in writing regarding the environmental report no later that Feb. 26. The report is available electronically at www.opeg.ca.
