Ontario Waterpower Association announces new board of directors

The Ontario Waterpower Association has a new board of directors as a result of a recent election at its Power of Water Canada Conference.

The new board is:

— Valerie Helbronner, partner, Torys LLP (chair)

— Robert Allen, president, Shaman Power Corp. (vice chair)

— Paul Young, director of generation operations Orillia Power Generation (treasurer)

— Bill Touzel, president, TBSi

— Frank Perri, general manager, St. Catherines Hydro Generation

— Heather Ferguson, director of hydro business development group, Ontario Power Generation

— James Deluzio, vice president operations, Brookfield Renewable Energy Group

— Karen McGhee, president, McGhee Kirzsan Engineering

— Stephen Somerville, vice president – business development and acquisitions, H2O Power LP

In addition, two OWA board members are stepping down: David Boileau with Windeau Investments and Mario Mazza with Ontario Power Generation.

OWA has been representing the common and collective interests of the waterpower industry in Ontario, Canada, since 2001.
