Peru agency sees public-private ventures including hydro

Peru’s business financing fund anticipates completion in March of a study to select up to 30 projects that could be carried out by government companies with private investors.

Executive Director Martin Sifuentes of Fondo Nacional de Financiamiento de la Actividad Empresarial del Estado (Fonafe) said projects that have generated interest include the 129-MW Santa Teresa hydroelectric project and the 310-MW Molloco hydroelectric project, Business News Americas reported.

Sifuentes said the study would be completed by investment agency Agencia de Promocion de la Inversion Privada (ProInversion).
