Peru seeks economic assessment of 530-MW Majes-Siguas complex

Peru’s private investment agency seeks bids from consultants to perform an economic assessment of the 530-MW hydroelectric complex to be built as part of the Majes-Siguas multipurpose water project. Bids are due March 13.

Agencia de Promocion de la Inversion Privada (ProInversion) seeks a consultant to identify a framework for development of two hydro plants, 214-MW Lluta and 315-MW Lluclla on the Siguas River, and related water resources facilities by a private developer. Criteria include technical and economic optimization and maximum profitability for the investor.

The Lluta and Lluclla projects are a later component of the Majes-Siguas 2 irrigation and hydroelectric complex, under construction in Peru. (HNN 8/15/08)
