Peru seeks studies of small and medium-sized hydro projects

Peru’s energy and mines ministry invites expressions of interest from consultants to perform technical and economic pre-feasibility studies of small and medium-sized hydropower projects in Peru. Responses are due November 15.

With funding from the World Bank’s International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Direccion General de Electrificacion Rural of the Ministerio de Energia y Minas is implementing a rural electrification program including hydropower.

In the current solicitation, for each hydro project selected, the agency seeks basic studies, project alternatives and definitions, basic engineering, cost estimates and implementation schedules, and economic evaluations.

Expressions of interest are due by 5 p.m. November 15 to the address below.
