Poland utility seeks stator cooling systems for 160-MW Wloclawek hydro project

Polish utility Energa Hydro Sp. z o.o. seeks bids to supply stator water cooling systems for the 160.2-MW Wloclawek hydroelectric project on Poland’s Vistula River. Bids are due September 23.

Polish water manager Regionalny Zarzad Gospodarki Wodnej w Warszawie (RGZW) awarded a contract in June to Przedsiebiorstwo Robot Inzynieryjnych POL-AQUA SA for rehabilitation and repair of Wloclawek Dam. Additionally, Energa Hydro awarded a contract in February to Energotest Sp z o.o. for a computer monitoring and operating system and in 2011 to ABB Sp. z o.o. for a replacement transformer block at the Wloclawek.

Energa Hydro now seeks bids for stator water cooling system modernization. The work, valued at more than 400,000 euros (US$535,000), is to require 16 months.
