Pump-turbine rehab sought by French utility for 800-MW Revin

Electricite de France (EDF) seeks bids for rehabilitation of four pump-turbines at the 800-MW Revin pumped-storage project in France. Bids are due May 6.

EDF named Voith Siemens Hydro Power Generation of Germany in 2008 to replace spherical and auxiliary valves and related electro-mechanical equipment at Revin, which was built in 1976. The current solicitation involves work on four 180-MW pump-turbines, including replacement of runners and refurbishment of servo-motors and other components.
