Puzen joins Mead & Hunt as FERC manager

Shawn Puzen is now Federal Energy Regulatory Commission licensing and compliance manager for Mead & Hunt.

Puzen’s experience includes regulatory compliance and licensing, siting, permitting, natural resource remediation and environmental impact experience. He is also familiar with planning, study, implementation and management of projects for the electric and gas industries while specializing in the hydroelectric power industry. He works with more than 75 technical professionals to guide public and private projects from initial strategic planning through operational life.

Before joining Mead & Hunt, Puzen was an environmental consultant for impact and licensing with WEC Energy Group (formerly Wisconsin Energy Corporation and Integrys Energy Group).

Mead & Hunt is an architectural and engineering firm whose specialties include dam design, hydropower plant licensing and relicensing, and dam safety. Over the past 10 years, the company developed more than 70 FERC license applications for applicants throughout the U.S.
