Re-regulation basin work sought for France’s 546-MW La Bathie

Electricite de France (EDF) seeks bids for civil engineering of earthwork and a re-regulation basin for the 546-MW La Bathie hydroelectric project in France’s Savoy Department. Bids are due June 14.

EDF took bids in April for civil engineering to refurbish La Bathie’s outlet channel. (HydroWorld 4/21/10) The 50-year-old La Bathie was among 12 projects for which EDF sought replacement governors and excitation systems in 2008. (HydroWorld 9/11/08)

The current solicitation includes excavation, use of pumps to lower the water table, and reinforced concrete construction. The work is to require 18 months.

Bid documents may be obtained from the address below. Bids, in French, are due by 2 p.m. June 14.
