Reservoir relining sought for Germany’s 1,270-MW Hotzenwald

Schluchseewerk AG of Germany invites applications for pre-qualification to reline a reservoir of the 1,270-MW Hotzenwald pumped-storage complex on the Rhine River. Responses are due May 29.

As part of rehabilitation of the pumped-storage complex, work is to include asphalt sealing of the basin of the 910-MW Hotzenwald/Hornbergstufe Wehr plant. Earlier this year, Schluchseewerk awarded a contract to Voith Siemens Hydro Power Generation to refurbish a 300-MVa motor-generator at the plant. (HNN 2/2/07)

Pre-qualification documents may be obtained from the address below. Bids, in German, are due by noon May 29. Schluchseewerk plans to send invitations to bid to selected applicants on June 11.
