Rizzo Associates of U.S. seeks engineers

Paul C. Rizzo Associates Inc. invites applications for engineering positions in its Pittsburgh and Oakland, Calif., offices.

Rizzo Associates specializes in all aspects of civil engineering and earth sciences for dam, nuclear power, and tunneling markets.

The firm seeks a dam and geotechnical engineer for its Oakland office. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, or preferably a master’s degree, in civil or geotechnical engineering with 20 years’ experience in flood control levee design, stability, and safety evaluation. The firm seeks a registered professional engineer and geotechnical engineer in California with experience with local water districts and the Division of Safety of Dams.

Rizzo also seeks a roller-compacted concrete engineer for its Pittsburgh headquarters. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, or preferably a master’s degree, in civil or geotechnical engineering with 10 years’ experience in roller-compacted concrete as well as experience working on dam and other large civil construction projects. A professional engineering license is preferred.

The company also seeks a tunnel engineer for its Pittsburgh headquarters. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, or preferably a master’s degree, in civil, geotechnical, or mining engineering with 10 years’ experience in tunnel and underground works design and planning. Also required is knowledge of soil and rock mechanics, geotechnical, and structural analysis, and methods and techniques for assessment of tunnel designs.
