Rockslide kills five at Vietnam hydropower plant construction site

Five construction workers are dead and five more are injured following a rockslide at the construction site of a hydropower project in northern Ha Giang province, according to local sources.

The workers are reported to have been working on the unnamed dam associated with the hydroelectric plant when 25,000 cubic meters of rock fell, damaging an excavator, trucks and other machinery.

The project is being developed by Song Da Investment and Construction JSC with funding from the Bitexco Group.
