Russia seeks automated flood forecasting

The Russian Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (RosHydromet) invites expressions of interest from consultants to develop automated flood forecasting technologies for modernization of Russia’s National Hydrometeorological System. Responses are due September 29.

The technologies are to be based on integrated meteorological and hydrological models customized to feasibility of technical capacities, as well as operational and routine hydrometeorological databases of RosHydromet.

The assignment is expected to require 20 months with 1,906 man-weeks of consultant’s basic staff.
