Slovenia developer seeks hydro turbine-generators for 41.5-MW Brezice

Slovenia hydropower developer Hidroelektrarne na Spodnji Savi (HESS d.o.o.) seeks bids to supply three hydro turbine-generators and other equipment for the 41.5-MW Brezice hydroelectric project on Slovenia’s Sava River. Bids are due June 17.

Brezice is one of five hydro projects being developed by HESS d.o.o and its parent utility, Holding Slovenske Elektrarne d.o.o. (HSE), on the lower Sava. Other projects include 32.5-MW Bostanj and 42.5-MW Arto-Blanca (formerly Blanca), which are on line; 39.5-MW Krsko, which is being completed; and 30.5-MW Mokrice, which is in planning.

HESS seeks bids to supply three Kaplan turbines and synchronous generators, three governors and excitation systems, cooling systems, compressed air, water level measurement system, bridge crane, ancillary equipment, and spare parts. The work, over 45 months, is valued at 37.5 million euros (US$48.5 million).

Tender documents may be obtained from the address below through June 16. Bids, in Slovenian, are due to the address below by noon June 17.
