Slovenia utility seeks debris removal, outlet repairs at 21-MW Moste hydro project

Slovenia hydropower utility Savske Elektrarne Ljubljana d.o.o. seeks bids for the second phase of rehabilitation of the 21-MW Moste hydroelectric project on Slovenia’s Sava River. Bids are due September 23.

Moste’s concrete arch gravity dam was built in 1952, the first hydropower project to be built on the Sava River. Other projects on the river include 41.5-MW Brezice, 42.5-MW Blanca, 39.5-MW Krsko and 31.4-MW Bostanj.

Savske Elektrarne seeks bids for the second phase of restoration of Moste including removal of debris and rehabilitation of the powerhouse bottom outlet and installation of grating. Among other abilities, the work is to require geotechnical engineering, diving and underwater welding.
