SN Power completes studies for hydropower plants in Peru

Norway’s SN Power has completed feasibility studies for hydro projects Rapay 1 and 2 in Peru, officials told wire services.

However, a decision has yet to be made if the projects will advance, Business News Americas reported. Rapay 1 and 2 would boast a combined 165 MW.

Other hydro projects under study are El Cano (103 MW) and Uchuhuerta (30.8 MW).

The generator also is set to start construction of the 168-MW Cheves hydropower project.

The company’s project portfolio also includes Yaupi (25.3 MW) and Pariac 5 and 6 (7.9 MW).
