Stoplog bidding extended for 82-MW Henry, 73.4-MW West Point

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has extended the planned bidding date to supply stoplogs for the 82-MW Robert F. Henry and 73.4-MW West Point dams in Alabama and Georgia. Bids now are expected to be due May 11.

The Corps previously said it expected to take bids March 2. (HydroWorld 1/15/10) Seven stoplogs for Robert F. Henry, on the Alabama River, are to be about five feet high and 52 feet long, weighing 24,000 pounds each. Ten stoplogs for West Point, on the Chattahoochee River, are to be about 4.5 feet high and 52 feet long, weighing 24,000 pounds each. (HydroWorld 3/12/10)

The solicitation, a 100 percent set-aside for small business, is to be available on the FedTeDS Internet site, www.fedteds.gov, in March. A pre-solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W9127810R0040 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.
