Studies sought for India’s 4,000-MW Etalin, 500-MW Attunli

India developer NTPC Ltd. seeks bids from consultants to prepare detailed project reports for the 4,000-MW Etalin and 500-MW Attunli hydroelectric projects to be built in India’s Arunachal Pradesh State. Bids are due February 22.

NTPC and the government of Arunachal Pradesh signed memoranda of understanding in 2006 for implementation of the projects. (HNN 9/25/06) Both were among 162 hydro projects for which studies were prepared under India’s 2003 initiative to develop 50,000 MW of hydropower.

The solicitation includes a topography survey, geological and geotechnical investigation, hydro-meteorological and sedimentation-data collection and studies, environmental studies, and alternative studies required for detailed project reports.

Bidding documents may be obtained from the address below until 3 p.m. February 7. Bids are due at 11 a.m. February 22.
