Submit your hydro or pumped storage project for Project of the Year Awards

Do you own a hydro or pumped storage project that is innovative, overcame challenges and had a big impact on nearby communities? If so, you can submit your facility for the 2017 Projects of the Year Awards.

The awards are sponsored by Power Engineering and Renewable Energy World magazines and are given to projects that came online between Aug. 1, 2016, and July 31, 2017.

Projects can include retrofits and upgrades. Editors from the two magazines will select finalists based on technological innovation, local impact, logistical challenges and creativity, and capacity.

Awards are given in six categories. The two relevant to hydropower are Best Renewable Project and Best Energy Storage Project.

There is a fee to submit a project and entries are due by Aug. 31.

The awards will be present at POWER-GEN in December 2017 in Las Vegas, Nev.
