Swiss seek firms to expand controls for new unit at 93-MW Lavey

The city of Lausanne invites applications for pre-qualification to expand and adapt the control system of the 93-MW Lavey hydroelectric project to accommodate the addition of a new 29-MW turbine-generator. Responses are due November 26.

Lausanne previously called for bids by January 18, 2013, for civil works and electro-mechanical equipment to add the new turbine-generator to Lavey, on the Bois-Noir River in Switzerland.

The city now invites applications for pre-qualification, in French, to expand and adapt the control system to accommodate the addition of the new generating unit. The work is to be performed between June 2015 and March 2017.

Tender documents for Lot EM-5 may be obtained from the address below through November 9. Lausanne plans to invite a short-list of five firms to submit bids.

Responses are due by noon November 26. For information, contact Francois Moulin, Ville de Lausanne, Direction des Services Industriels, Service de l’Electricite, Place Chauderon 27, Case 7416, 1002 Lausanne, Switzerland; Internet: http://www.simap.ch/shabforms/servlet/Search?NOTICE_NR=752383.
