Tanzania seeks dam safety consultant for water sector program

The government of Tanzania invites expressions of interest from consultants to help develop a dam safety management program for Tanzania’s Ministry of Water and Irrigation. Responses are due September 15.

The government seeks a consultant to: prepare terms of reference for dam safety inspections and monitoring; develop inspection guidelines and licensing; prepare risk analysis guidelines; and prepare a dam safety inspection annual work plan.

Expressions of interest and qualifications, marked �Tender No. ME-011/2007/08/C/13 for the Expression of Interest for Provision of Consultancy Services for Short-term Technical Assistance for Strengthening of Dam Safety Management for the Ministry of Water and Irrigation,� are due to the address below by 10 a.m. September 15.

The ministry plans to send invitations to bid to a short list of candidates.
