Thrust bearing system sought for Peru’s 798-MW Santiago Antunez de Mayolo hydro project

The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) seeks bids to supply an improved thrust bearing system for turbine-generator groups of Peru’s 798-MW Santiago Antunez de Mayolo hydroelectric project. Bids are due June 30.

UNOPS, which is providing rehabilitation assistance under a framework agreement with project operator Empresa de Electricidad del Peru S.A. (Electroperu), took bids June 3 to supply valves and hydraulic controls for rehabilitation of Santiago Antunez de Mayolo and the 210-MW Restitucion hydroelectric project. It also took bids May 26 for generator rotor poles and slip rings for Santiago Antunez de Mayolo.

The hydro plants are part of the 1,008-MW Mantaro hydroelectric complex that also includes the 180-meter-tall Tablachaca Dam and a system of other dams that regulate flows on the Mantaro River.

UNOPS now seeks bids to supply and install an improved thrust bearing system for turbine-generator groups at Santiago Antunez de Mayolo.

Bids are due by 3 p.m. June 30 to the address below. For information, contact Oficina de UNOPS en Peru, Complejo Javier Perez de Cuellar, Av.
