Trelleborg hopes new awards program will inspire creativity

Industrial parts manufacturer Trelleborg Sealing Solutions is seeking submissions for its newly-launched Innovation Award.

The company says entry to the award program is open to anyone and seeks to recognize ideas that can “provide engineering, technology and design solutions for today and tomorrow.”

“We’re not just interested in suggestions for products, technology and materials but anything that relates to improving our business or the way we do business,” says Robert Zahiri, director of global marketing and communications. “For instance, novel suggestions for online tools, manufacturing processes or logistic related services.”

Trelleborg says the inspiration for the award comes from the creative process by which ideas are turned into tangible products.

The winning submission will receive a cash prize of more than US$6,000 and be brought into reality if feasible. Second and third place winners will receive iPads.
