Turbine rehab sought for France’s Bioge hydro

Electricite de France (EDF) seeks bids for rehabilitation of turbine Unit 4 at the Bioge hydroelectric plant in France’s Haute-Savoie Region. Bids are due November 29.

Operated by EDF operating company GEH Savoie Mont-Blanc, Bioge is located on the La Dranse de Morzine River. EDF took bids in October for penstock replacement at the 300-MW Malgovert plant in Savoie.

EDF currently seeks bids for dismantling of the turbine and refurbishment of components. The contract is expected to require 40 months.
