U.S. again extends bids for bulkhead, hoist repairs at 160-MW Truman

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers further extended the deadline for bids to repair draft tube bulkheads and hoists at the 160-MW Harry S. Truman hydroelectric project in Missouri. Bids now are due Oct. 18.

The Corps previously called for bids by Oct. 4, Sept. 7, and Aug. 2. It took bids in 2010 for rehabilitation of 12 servomotors on the six generating units at Truman on the Osage River.

On behalf of the Corps’ Kansas City District, the Corps’ Portland, Ore., District seeks labor, equipment, and materials to modify and repair all hydraulic hoist systems, to modify new draft tube latch systems, and to complete inspections and repairs to draft tube bulkhead assemblies.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W9127N08R0006 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.
