U.S. seeks bids to refurbish dikes at 38-MW Glendo Dam

The Bureau of Reclamation’s Great Plains Regional Office seeks bids to refurbish dikes at 38-MW Glendo Dam in Wyoming. Bids are due Aug. 6.

The agency awarded a contract to Johnson Wilson Constructors Inc. in 2010 to modify Glendo Dam. That work included cast-in-place concrete, shotcrete, roller-compacted concrete, excavation of the dam and dike embankments, excavation for an auxiliary spillway, and construction of raised dam and dike embankments. Reclamation took bids in July for removal of asbestos at Glendo and six other sites in Wyoming.

In the current solicitation, Reclamation seeks bids for excavation of dike embankments, furnishing and placing zoned earthfill materials to construct a raised dike embankment, removing and replacing roadway pavement, furnishing and installing instrumentation wells, furnishing and installing precast concrete vaults, and furnishing and laying toe drain pipes.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. R13PS60300 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.

Bids are due Aug. 6. For information, contact Gerri Voto-Braun, Contracting Officer, Bureau of Reclamation, GP-5000, P.O. Box 36900, Billings, MT 59107; (1) 406-247-7809; E-mail: ec_helpdesk@nbc.gov.
