The Bureau of Reclamation seeks bids to refurbish gates at Prosser Creek Dam on California’s Prosser Creek. Bids are due March 21.
Prosser Creek Dam was built in 1962 just above Prosser Creek’s confluence with the Truckee River. The water storage structure is part of Reclamation’s Washoe Project, which also includes Marble Bluff Dam and 3.65-MW Stampede Dam.
In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, Reclamation seeks bids to refurbish high pressure gate seats and regulating gates. Work is to include removal, refurbishment, and replacement of two guard gates and two control gates; fabrication of new self-lubricating composite high-pressure gate leaf seats, stainless steel high-pressure gate body seats, stainless steel high-pressure gate leaf lip reconfiguration bars; and installing new hoist shutoff and bypass valves.
The work is valued at between $1 million and $5 million.
