U.S. seeks bids to supply outlet bulkheads for 6,809-MW Grand Coulee Dam

The Bureau of Reclamation seeks bids to supply two outlet bulkheads for the 6,809-MW Grand Coulee Dam hydroelectric project in Washington. Bids are due June 27.

Reclamation also called for bids in June for turbine runner cavitation repair at Grand Coulee and the 428-MW Hungry Horse hydro project in Montana. The agency put a new control system on line in April at Grand Coulee. It also took bids in January to replace fire-damaged electrical equipment at the project.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, Reclamation now seeks bids to supply two outlet bulkheads to be 14 feet tall, 13 feet 10 inches wide and 2 feet 6 inches thick and weighing 24,000 pounds.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. R14PS00365 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.
