The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids to load test two gantry cranes at 43.5-MW Jim Woodruff Lock and Dam on the Florida-Georgia border. Bids are due June 26.
The Corps’ Mobile District last year took information on firms able to perform the work. It took bids in 2010 for supply of a trash rake cleaning machine and storage frame at Woodruff, which impounds the Chattahoochee and Flint rivers to form Lake Seminole.
The district now seeks bids to inspect completely and load test a 75-ton intake gantry crane and a 75-ton spillway gantry crane at Woodruff.
