U.S. seeks firms for operation services at Rock Island Arsenal, hydro project

The U.S. Army Contracting Command seeks information on firms able to provide base operation support services for the U.S. Army Garrison-Rock Island Arsenal, including the arsenal hydropower project. Responses are due Oct. 14.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Rock Island District took bids in August to supply as many as four replacement tainter gates for Dresden Island Lock and Dam on the Illinois River.

The Army now seeks information on firms able to provide operation and maintenance of the Rock Island Arsenal hydroelectric plant, sanitary sewage system, government swing span bridge, natural gas system, electrical distribution system, storm drainage system, fire suppressant and alarm systems, buildings, water treatment, roads and grounds, and other services.

A sources sought notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W52P1J15CJC02 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.
