The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks information on firms able to manufacture and supply up to 36 digital governors to six major hydroelectric projects on the Missouri River. Responses are due Dec. 19.
The Corps’ Omaha District seeks firms with the ability to supply digital governors to replace mechanical governors on hydroelectric turbines at the six projects: 132.3-MW Gavins Point, 320-MW Fort Randall, 494-MW Big Bend, 786-MW Oahe, 517.8-MW Garrison and 185.3-MW Fort Peck. The agency plans to use responses to a sources sought notice to determine the type of solicitation to be issued.
The estimated cost range of the single award task order contract is $7 million with the possibility of the purchase of up to 36 main unit digital governors over five years.
The sources sought notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W9128F15R0025 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.
