U.S. seeks firms to supply draft tube bulkheads for 980-MW McNary Dam

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks information on small firms capable of supplying draft tube bulkheads for 980-MW McNary Dam on the Columbia River. Responses are due Oct. 22.

The Corps’ Walla Walla District took bids in June for hydro generator condition monitoring equipment. It took comments in May on its plan for up to 14 hydro turbine replacements at McNary. It also awarded a contract in September to Marine Industrial Construction LLC to construct a prototype lamprey entrance structure in a fish ladder at the project.

The Corps now seeks information from small businesses that are capable of supplying two sets of three stoplogs weighing 20 tons each. It plans to use information from responses to determine the type of solicitation it eventually issues.

A sources sought notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. W912EF14RSS01 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.

Responses are due by 4 p.m., Eastern time, Oct. 22. For information, contact Julie Morris, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, 201 N. 3rd Ave., Walla Walla, WA 99362-1876; (1) 509-527-7220; E-mail: julie.m.morris@usace.army.mil.
