U.S. seeks firms to supply gate roller chains for three hydro projects

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks information on firms able to fabricate and supply intake gate roller chains for three major hydroelectric projects on the Snake and Columbia rivers. Responses are March 21.

The projects include 810-MW Lower Granite Dam and 810-MW Lower Monumental Dam on the Snake River in Washington and 980-MW McNary Dam on the Columbia River in Ore.

The Corps now seeks information on small businesses with the capability to fabricate and supply intake roller gate chains to the three projects. It plans to use information from the responses to decide the type of solicitation to be issued.

A sources sought notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W912EF14RSS29 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.
