U.S. seeks generator model validation testing at nine Corps hydro projects

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids to perform generator model validation testing at nine Corps hydroelectric projects in Oklahoma and Texas. Bids are due March 9.

The Corps’ Portland District seeks performance of North American Electric Reliability Corp. (NERC) generator model validation testing at 80-MW Denison Dam on the Red River; 110-MW Robert S. Kerr Lock & Dam, 60-MW Webbers Falls Dam, 115-MW Ozark Dam and 70-MW Keystone Dam, all on the Arkansas River; 100-MW Broken Bow on the Mountain Fork River; 90-MW Eufaula on the Canadian River; 45-MW Fort Gibson on the Neosho River; and 39.2-MW Tenkiller on the Illinois River. Denison is in Texas, while the others are in Oklahoma.

The work is to be performed from March 2015 through February 2016.
