U.S. seeks hydrographic surveying, mapping in Northwest

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites expressions of interest from firms to perform hydrographic surveying and mapping services in the Corps’ Northwestern Division. Responses are due Feb. 17.

The Corps’ Walla Walla District awarded a contract in 2012 to Rogers Surveying Inc. for surveying and mapping services in the region. It sought firms for such work in 2011. The Corps’ Portland District issued a similar solicitation last year.

In two solicitations — one set aside for small businesses and the other unrestricted, the Walla Walla District now seeks firms for a $5 million indefinite delivery contract for architect-engineer surveying and mapping services for a base period of one year and four option years. Primary assignments are to be in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, with possible work in other parts of the Pacific Northwest.

Services are to include hydrographic high-order accuracy multi-beam bathymetric surveys; hydrographic transect and topographic bathymetric surveys; automated data collection and fully integrated echo sounding equipment and positioning systems with 22- to 26-foot survey vessels; dredging measurement; and other work.

Pre-solicitation notices may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. W912EF15R0021 for the small business solicitation or No. W912EF15R0020 for the unrestricted solicitation in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box. Bidders are required to submit Standard Form 330 packages by 2 p.m., Pacific time, Feb. 17 to the address below. Forms may be obtained on the Internet at www.gsa.gov/portal/forms/type/TOP/category/22457/hostUri/portal.
