U.S. seeks information on switchgear work at 19.5-MW Headgate Rock

The Bureau of Reclamation seeks information from vendors and other parties on proposed rehabilitation of low-voltage station switchgear at the Bureau of Indian Affairs’ 19.5-MW Headgate Rock Dam. Responses are due Nov. 2.

Reclamation awarded an $8 million contract in 2007 to Alltech Engineering Corp. to perform maintenance and repair of 10 radial gates at Headgate Rock.

The agency issued a request for information to help refine an eventual solicitation for electrical rehabilitation of the low-voltage station service switchgear, which has a faulty synchronizing transfer switch and aging circuit breakers and associated cradles. Reclamation also seeks a hard bus retrofill.

Reclamation invites information, product data, recommendations, considerations, rough cost estimates, and questions related to the hard bus retrofill.

A request for information notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. 11001LC in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box. Requests for drawings must be submitted by 4 p.m. Oct. 27.

Responses are due by Nov. 2 to the addresses below. For information, contact Shawn Smith/LC-10218, Procurement Tech, or Denise Colwell/LC10210, Contracting Officer, Bureau of Reclamation – LC – Lower Colorado Regional Office, P.O.
