U.S. seeks penstock flowmeter replacement at eight hydro projects

The Bureau of Reclamation seeks bids to replace penstock flowmeters at eight hydroelectric projects in its northern and central California areas. Bids are due Jan. 27.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, Reclamation’s Mid-Pacific Regional Office seeks bids to design and install replacement flowmeters in penstocks of 21 generating units. Projects include 663-MW Shasta, 140-MW Trinity, 117-MW Keswick, 154-MW J.F. Carr, 180-MW Spring Creek, 300-MW New Melones, 198.72-MW Folsom and 13.5-MW Nimbus.

The work is valued at $500,000 to $1 million.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. R15PS00024 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.
