U.S. seeks thrust bearing cooling coils for 320-MW Fort Randall

OMAHA, Neb., U.S. 4/3/12 (PennWell) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids to supply thrust bearing coils for the 320-MW Fort Randall hydroelectric project in South Dakota. Bids are due April 13.

The Corps’ Omaha District took bids in March for six crane inspections and engineering reports at Fort Randall, on the Missouri River.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, the Corps now seeks 53 pairs of thrust bearing cooling coils, 30 right and 23 left pairs.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W9128F12QE005 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.
