U.S. seeks work on hydro, dams, other sites in Southeast

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids for construction, rehabilitation and other work at hydroelectric projects, dams, and other facilities in its South Atlantic Division. Bids are due Dec. 2.

The Corps’ Savannah District requested information in February on firms able to perform such work in the southeastern U.S. region. It also took information in October on firms able to perform planning, environmental and engineering services at hydroelectric projects, dams, and other facilities in the region.

In a solicitation set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, the Savannah District now seeks bids for design-build construction and construction only for projects including hydroelectric facilities, dams, locks, depots, oxygen plants, National Resources and Recreational facilities, storage facilities and canals. The Corps plans to issue a single award task order contract for two years with three one-year option periods, for a total contract capacity of $45 million.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W912HN14R0026 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.

Bids are due by 2 p.m., Eastern time, Dec. 2. For information, contact Jara Tartt, Contract Specialist, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, CESAS-CT, 100 W. Oglethorpe Ave., Savannah, GA 31401; (1) 912-652-5078; E-mail: jara.n.tartt@usace.army.mil.
