U.S. sets bidding for submersible power cable at 980-MW McNary

WALLA WALLA, Wash., U.S. 12/14/11 (PennWell) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids for submersible power cable for extended submerged barrier screens at 980-MW McNary Dam on the Columbia River in Oregon. Bids are due Dec. 21.

The Corps’ Walla Walla District recently announced it also plans to take bids for maintenance and rehabilitation of elevators at McNary, near Umatilla, Ore.

In a solicitation set aside for small business, the Corps now seeks 3,000 feet of submersible cable to provide power and control capability to the extended submerged barrier screens at McNary.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W912EF12Q0022 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.
