UPDATE – Another extension for India’s 320-MW Kotlibhel 1B

National Hydroelectric Power Corp. (NHPC) has granted another deadline extension for pre-qualification to build the 320-MW Kotlibhel 1B hydroelectric project in India’s Uttaranchal State.

October 13 at 2 p.m. is the latest pre-qualification deadline for civil works construction of Kotlibhel 1B. Pre-qualification documents now may be obtained until October 10. The pre-qualification document fee is 20,000 rupees or US$500. (HNN 9/27/06)

530-MW Kotlibhel 2

October 10 at 2 p.m. remained the latest pre-qualification deadline for civil works construction of a sister project, 530-MW Kotlibhel 2, also to be built in India’s Uttaranchal State. Those pre-qualification documents may be obtained until October 9. The pre-qualification document fee is 40,000 rupees or US$1,000.

Pre-qualification documents may be obtained from NHPC’s Internet site, www.nhpcindia.com, with notification to the address below and submission of the document fee with the pre-qualification application. Fees are payable by demand draft to National Hydroelectric Power Corp. Ltd. at Faridabad.
