UPDATE – India developer cancels 2-MW Ganganahal tender

A solicitation by Bhavana Hydro Electric Private Ltd. for bids to supply turbine-generators and other equipment for the 2-MW Ganganahal hydropower scheme has been canceled.

Bhavana had called for bids by July 21 for Francis turbines, generators, auxiliaries, indoor switchyard with transformer, and all other electro-mechanical equipment for the project in India’s Karnataka State. (HNN 7/10/08)

Ganganahal is to comprise two hydro plants of 1 MW each on the D-7 Distributory of SBC at Shahapur Taluk, Gulbarga District of Karnataka. One plant is to feature a head of 20 meters and discharge of 6 cubic meters per second. The other is to have a head of 24 meters and discharge of 5 cms.
