U.S. engineering firm seeks geotech engineer, dams-hydro manager

Engineering and environmental firm AECOM seeks a geotechnical engineer and a senior project manager, dams and hydropower, to work in its Denver office.

The geotechnical engineer would participate on project teams in planning, investigation, analysis, design, and construction-related activities for dams and major hydraulic structures. Work would include geotechnical site investigation and laboratory testing, new dam design, dam rehabilitation dam, final design contract documents, dam construction management, feasibility studies, permitting, and regulatory review process.

Candidates must have more than five years’ experience as a consulting geotechnical engineer, with experience in dam design, geotechnical investigations, engineering evaluations, and project management.

The senior project manager, dams and hydropower, is a senior-level position in AECOM’s Dams and Hydropower Group. The dams and hydraulic structures senior project manager is to develop new projects, manage clients, manage project scope, schedule, and budget as well as lead and supervise project teams. Work would include analysis and design for new dams and dam rehabilitation, final design contract documents, dam construction phase services water resources planning, feasibility studies, permitting, and regulatory review process.

Candidates must have more than 15 years’ experience in water resources, dam design, and design of associated hydraulic structures.
